President’s Message
I hope you all had wonder-ful, relaxing summers. Ours was anything but! My son moved to Selkirk, and we sold our house in Latham and moved to Walden Fields in Delmar. We are six minutes away from him, and four minutes away from our other son who lives on Hudson Avenue in Delmar. We also sold our family cottage on Lake Ontario, one that had been in our family for since 1962. Lots of memories….
So the Delmar Progress Club leader lives in Delmar again! Later in the PIP you’ll see an invitation to an Open House at my new home. I’ve found out there are several DPC members in my neighborhood, and there are others I hope to add to our membership. I’m always on the lookout for new members, and I hope you will be too!
I hope you will all come to the October meeting so that you can learn all that we do as a Club, and determine how you want your DPC membership to work best for your interests. Ask questions at the meeting. I know that I don’t know a lot yet about how the Club has oper-ated in the past and I still don’t know everything we cur-rently do!
We have a lot of interesting programs coming up, and some community projects that I think will be meaningful for us and helpful for our community. I’m hoping to do another cooking class, since we had so much fun last time. Your input is always welcome, and program sug-gestions are appreciated. Thanks for your support.
